Season 3: 2024 - 2025
Competition Team Auditions

Calling all passionate dancers eager to join our competition teams! To be considered, attendance at one of our auditions is a must. Alternatively, you can arrange a private one-on-one audition with our studio owner, Miss Bri.

Our auditions play a crucial role in determining dance routines, assessing skills and levels for fall + spring classes, and more.

In December 2024, the application process for our competition team will kick off. This mandatory application helps us gauge your commitment, previous experience, and the goals you aspire to achieve within the team. Rest assured, your application details will be kept strictly confidential.

As we move forward, we'll be hosting virtual and in-person Info Sessions on our competition team throughout the spring. For any inquiries in the meantime, or to schedule a private meeting, feel free to contact Miss Bri at brianna@luckystaer.dance.

4:30 - 7:30 PM: Interviews Day Spark Competition Team Prospects

If you're eyeing a spot on our premier competition team, Spark, get ready for a one-on-one interview with our studio owner, Miss Bri. No need for dance attire—comfort is key. On this day, dancers won't be showcasing their moves; instead, they'll be delving into their goals, aspirations within Spark, and handling situational leadership questions.

For Spark, we're on the lookout for enthusiastic, positive leaders who crave improvement and relish a challenging yet uplifting dance experience. We envision our Spark dancers as role models both within our studio and at various events we attend.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does my child need to attend both audition dates?

Your child is not required to attend both audition dates—just one will do. If the listed dates don't align, no worries; you can arrange a private audition with Miss Bri.

When will my child find out if they made the team?

Wondering about the results? Your dancer will know their fate, along with the specific team placement, on the Sunday following their audition. Shortly after the second set of auditions, they will find out more about routines for the season.

How do I know which team is the best fit for my child?

Choosing the right team is crucial, and we've got options tailored to time commitments. Teams range from 2-3 hours per week for the lowest commitment level, up to 12 hours or more for the maximum commitment level. Local travel includes Altoona and Harrisburg for the lower commitment teams, while mid-level commitment may take dancers as far as Ohio or Lancaster. For the high-commitment team, get ready for exciting ventures to New Jersey, Maryland, and beyond!

What type of routines will my child be a part of?

They'll receive a list of dance offerings curated based on the perfect fit with our teachers. Options include solos, duos/trios, and group dances spanning various genres.

Here's where your parental input comes in: after receiving this list, you get to decide which dances your child would like to pursue. It's a collaborative process, ensuring that your child's dance journey aligns with their preferences and interests. Get ready for a tailor-made and delightful dance experience!

Not sure which team suits your child best? Miss Bri is here to help. Feel free to reach out to her at brianna@luckystar.dance for a personalized discussion on team options that fit your family and dancer perfectly!
